What We Do
This project is not just a typical charity fundraiser; it will not only provide farmers in the remote JiangXi province with a reliable source of weekly income, but also guidance on starting a small business, and most importantly, a direct connection to the outside world.
As a charity organization we are teaching them how to start up a small business. The future is everything, and we through this process, we are permanently improving their lifestyles.
The organic eggs produced by the free range, organic hens will be delivered to Shanghai on a weekly to daily basis (according to demand). Eggs shipped to Shanghai will be given firstly to potential buyers through means such as cyber shops like Tao Bao. Extra eggs will then be given to sponsors of each farmer (who would be given egg coupons during the fundraising process), and others who contributed in fundraisers.
All proceeds from fundraisers, sponsors and transactions of farmers incomes in parallel to the amount of eggs produced by their hens will be carefully / recorded by volunteers on a website open to the public. The website will be updated consistently regarding the progress of the project and farmers. After the successful 2 years completion of the project, it will expand to other remote villages in China to help other needy farmers in an effort to give them a reliable source of income.
